The Belgium Dystonia Society was founded by Christ’l Wauters in 1995. The Board of four Members is supported by a Medical Advisory Board. The number of members is 400 and increasing rapidly. The working languages are Flemish and French.

Various brochures and a regular newsletter are supplied for members. Several regional contact days for partners in distress are organised in various parts of Belgium for members.  A telephone hotline is also available. A weekend trip for members is organised twice a year, as well as a charity walk to raise funds.
